On 9 December 2025, a public lecture was held for pupils and vocational students of the Makhinjauri Maritime School entitled
“Effective Approaches to Ship Hull Corrosion Monitoring — Paving the Way for Future Vessels.”
The lecture was delivered by Professor Špiro Ivošević of the Faculty of Maritime Studies, University of Montenegro.

Professor Ivošević introduced the audience to modern technological methods aimed at enhancing ship safety and extending operational lifespan. The lecture addressed innovative monitoring systems that enable the timely detection and effective management of corrosion, which is particularly significant in the context of contemporary shipbuilding and maritime logistics.

Within the framework of the lecture, participants also discussed current trends in the technological development of the maritime industry.
