On February 9, 2026, a public lecture dedicated to the celebration of Davidoba was held at the Makhinjauri Maritime School.
The lecture discussed the historical, political, and cultural significance of King David IV the Builder of Georgia, the state reforms he carried out, as well as his military and spiritual vision, which became the foundation for national unity and the country’s advancement.
Special attention was given to the perception of David the Builder’s personality in Georgian historical consciousness, his symbolic role, and the importance of the celebration of Davidoba in preserving national identity and historical memory.
The lecture aimed to share historical knowledge and encourage reflection on the importance of national values. The event was conducted by history teacher Nino Samkharadze and Georgian language and literature teacher Mzevinar Tsulukidze.
