On April 21, 2026, a public lecture dedicated to Mother Language Day was held at Makhinjauri Maritime School on the topic: “The Georgian Language – A Shield of Our Identity and Energy for the Future: A Concept for the Protection and Promotion of the Language.” The lecture was delivered by Angela Jaqeli, a Georgian Language and Literature teacher.

The lecture focused on the challenges facing the Georgian language in the era of globalization. Discussions addressed not only the preservation of the language’s existence but also the importance of protecting its purity, authenticity, and significance in the modern world.

The event contributed to strengthening students’ national awareness and increasing their sense of responsibility toward their cultural heritage.
