On May 22, 2023, students of X-XI classes of Makhinjauri Maritime Lyceum were on a study visit to Batumi Botanical Garden.

Within the framework of the visit, the staff of the botanical garden provided the students with the information about the biodiversity of different climatic zones in the botanical garden.

Biodiversity Day is declared as an international date under the auspices of the United Nations and aims to protect the ecosystems created by living organisms on Earth.

The visit was planned as part of the school project "Protect the environment so that it can protect you" and was supported by the Department of Environmental Protection and Natural Resources of Adjara.
